Welcome to Abbots Gardens

For generations sheep have grazed in the shadow of the historic Thornton Abbey, whilst the Augustinian brothers tended the fruit and vegetable gardens. The Farrow family now tend The Abbots Garden and market the soft fruits, vegetables and fresh lamb from Abbey Farm.

Abbots Garden

The Pick Your Own business started in 1989 with mainly strawberries, but also a few raspberries, and has developed significantly from its early days. A logical response to renewed public interest in Farmers' Markets was to offer our lamb, now organic and certified by the Soil Association, freshly packaged for sale directly to the public, which has been available since 2001. Our complete range offered for sale includes a seasonal range of potatoes, asparagus, sweetcorn, strawberries, raspberries, gooseberries, currants, home produced honey and farmhouse jam.
