Due to circumstances beyond our control, we are unable to open the Maize Maze this year.We will be running the maze again next year.

A Great Family Day Out....

Welcome to the amazing Thornton Abbey Maize Maze. This exciting Summer event running from mid July to September promises something for the whole family to enjoy.

The amazing Thornton Abbey Maize Maze opened to the public for the first time in Summer 2003. This seasonal event runs from mid July to mid September and it promises families an enthralling day out.

The Thornton Abbey maize maze offers visitors the opportunity to lose themselves in the North Lincolnshire countryside. We planted the Maize Maze in April, it grows throughout the Summer, during which time the maize crop is cut and made into a giant maze!

In the maze you will be challenged by quiz boards, for adults and children, which also helps you navigate. There are bridges and towers so you can get a spectacular view of the maze and of Thornton Abbey Gatehouse. We also have a large open courtyard which features some quick six minute mazes, games, a rest area with refreshments and the poupular children's ride on electric tractors.

So if you're looking for somewhere different and fun to take the children this summer we challenge you to conquer the Thornton Abbey Maize Maze.

Leashed dogs are allowed into the maze.

Open mid July to Spetember.
Open every day from 10am till 6pm (last entry normally 5pm)
